The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast predicting very heavy rainfall today in Assam, Meghalaya, and South Interior Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall is also expected in several other regions, including Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Telangana, southern parts of Madhya Maharashtra, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar.
In parts of Marathwada, Gujarat, and the Konkan and Goa regions, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is likely, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.
Meanwhile, heatwave conditions are forecast in Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and northern Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, warm night conditions are expected to persist in eastern Madhya Pradesh.
