Preparations Begin for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Sikkim After Five-Year

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Sikkim’s Nathu La Pass is set to resume this year after a five-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic and border tensions. The Sikkim government is actively improving infrastructure, including setting up acclimatisation centres and better facilities for pilgrims. The Yatra, scheduled between June and August, will proceed through two routes — Nathu La in Sikkim and Lipulekh in Uttarakhand. Each batch will consist of 50 pilgrims. The revival follows diplomatic efforts between India and China to normalise relations.
